VP, NA Base Sales
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP, North America Base Sales based in United States.
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, retention, and client satisfaction across a large North American existing-client portfolio.
You will lead a multi-tiered sales organization, setting strategy, performance standards, and priorities across multiple management layers.
The role combines executive relationship management with ownership of renewals, expansions, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
You will build trusted relationships with C-level and senior technology stakeholders, connecting business outcomes with complex technology and managed services solutions.
Strong forecasting, pipeline management, commercial leadership, and strategic account planning will be central to ensuring predictable and scalable results.
Working closely with delivery, operations, solution, and other internal teams, you will help strengthen client value while developing future sales leaders and organizational talent.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced sales executive who thrives in complex environments and can balance strategic vision with disciplined execution.
Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the North America base sales strategy in alignment with broader growth objectives and the client lifecycle.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a multi-level sales organization, establishing clear standards and accountability for revenue and retention performance.
- Coach sales leaders on strategic account planning, pipeline development, sales methodologies, and consistent execution.
- Own sales forecasting and pipeline management across the region, ensuring accurate revenue projections, pipeline visibility, executive reporting, and effective resource planning.
- Build and maintain senior executive relationships across existing accounts, including C-level business leaders and IT decision-makers.
- Act as a trusted advisor by connecting client business priorities with technology, managed services, and partner solutions.
- Drive growth through renewals, expansions, cross-selling, and upselling across a broad solutions portfolio.
- Lead complex proposal development, negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial terms for multi-solution and multi-year engagements.
- Partner with solution architects, delivery leaders, operations, and other stakeholders to support client outcomes and uncover expansion opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance, renewal trends, market conditions, win/loss insights, and key metrics to inform account planning and investment decisions.
- Represent the sales organization in regional and enterprise strategic planning while advocating for client and market needs.
- Build scalable operating models, talent pipelines, and succession plans for the North America base sales organization.
- Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop high-potential sales talent to strengthen leadership capacity and long-term organizational performance.
- Executive-level sales leadership experience managing large, multi-tiered, high-performing sales organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders across multiple management layers and create high-performance cultures.
- Proven success in consultative, solution-based sales within technology and managed services environments.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue, retention, and growth targets at scale.
- Extensive experience managing, forecasting, and optimizing complex sales and renewal pipelines.
- Significant experience structuring and closing complex, multi-year, multi-solution enterprise engagements.
- Proven experience managing enterprise clients with multiple business units and complex stakeholder environments.
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
- Deep knowledge of managed services, hosting, mainframe, security, outsourcing, and hybrid IT environments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate technology and service value propositions in terms of business outcomes and client value.
- Highly organized, analytical, adaptable, and creative, with the ability to operate effectively in rapidly changing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong collaboration and leadership capabilities.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Annual base salary of $230,000–$275,000.
