Urgent Need Senior Java Developer
Position Title: Senior Java developer
Location: Washington, DC (LOCALS Only)
Duration: 6 Months+
The Service Benefit Plan Administrative Service Corporation (SBPASC) needs 1 (one) Senior Java Developer contractor. This individual will be primarily working on developing UI and Web Services based on J2EE, Spring and AgularJS Framework to develop the Member 360 Application within the NextGen Program. The responsibilities include execution of full life cycle activities in support of multiple projects which will include but not limited to:
- Work directly with requirement analyst, architect, technical lead and other team members on design and development tasks.
- Accountable for meeting milestones set for different projects.
- Conduct code review, unit and integration testing.
- Document system design and unit testing information and transfer maintenance work to FEPOC production support team.
Required Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of Java and J2EE/JEE experience with BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Must have experience in web application development using Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring MVC, MyBatis, Hibernate, Restful Web Services, AngularJS, JQuery, Ajax, Junit, Maven, ANT, JSON and XML.
- Knowledge and Understanding of SOAP based web services, Spring Security, jMock or Mockito, GIT, LDAP, CSS3 and Responsive Web design
- Experience with software development best practices (RUP, Waterfall, XP, Agile)
- Knowledge of J2EE applications servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Jboss )
- Strong hands on experience with UML.
- Strong understanding of object oriented analysis and design patterns concepts.
- Proven hands on experience with DAO and Data Services.
- Excellent application performance tuning skills.
- Experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle or MS SQL)
