Unit Manager Traffic Investigations

The Team Leader, Traffic Investigations is accountable to the Manager, Traffic Services and provides a range of expert technical support and professional advisory services which contribute to a safe, efficient, sustainable, and reliable road traffic network for all users. The role manages the operational performance of traffic through engagement with the community, to ensure the application of traffic management solutions is fulfilling the functional requirements for access and safety. This includes responsive action (both written and verbal), representing the department at meetings and working closely with various Ministerial staff, Local Members of Parliament, other state government agencies, councils, community groups and members of the public, with the aim of continuously improving the efficiency and safety of the transport movement on the road network. Strong leadership and a comprehensive understanding of traffic and transport engineering are essential to effectively support the team and ensure their work aligns with section goals and departmental objectives.
