UI Designer

• Must have good understanding of graphic design principles and an appreciation for typography, color, and effective composition

• Good understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and how designs will translate to code

• Experience creating pages using a CMS (ie. WordPress or Drupal)

• Collaborate with fellow designers, as well as product and development teams to ensure design is consistent with style guides and best practices

• Understanding and appreciation of how interface design works in an Agile development environment

• Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs clearly

• Portfolio of interactive web or mobile app prototypes and designs

• Hub team is looking for design and development support to help set direction of next generation of employee tools and services.

• Potential extension on duration for right candidate.

• Primary responsibility will be to support the creation of new websites using our custom site builder tool and help develop the tool further with new ideas and page templates.

• This is primarily a hybrid designer / developer role and must have a good eye for design as well as being able to create HTML & CSS code.
