Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care (Day/Evening Shifts)

Job Summary
Are you an experienced Travel CNA looking for your next rewarding assignment? We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Travel Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a Long-Term Care facility in Windsor, VT.
In this role, you will provide continuous, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing and extended care environment. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health status, and work closely with RNs and LPNs to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care & ADLs: Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility).
Monitoring & Documentation: Track and record vital signs, daily intake/output, and changes in resident conditions in the facility’s EMR system.
Care Plan Execution: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RNs, LPNs, therapists) to carry out individualized care plans.
Safety & Infection Control: Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized environment while adhering to strict infection control practices.
Medication & Procedure Support: Assist with routine care setup, therapy support, and medication administration under direct nursing supervision where state regulation permits.
Emotional Support: Provide compassionate companionship and foster a respectful, supportive environment for residents and their families.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Licensure:
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of a state-approved CNA program with competency evaluation.
Active state CNA certification in good standing (VT state license or active compact license).
Active CPR / BLS certification.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 1 year of recent CNA experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
Proven experience documenting resident care and vitals in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Strong observational skills, clear communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to new facility environments.
Flexibility to work day and/or evening shifts, including rotating weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fall prevention programs or specialized wound care monitoring.
Strong knowledge of infection prevention protocol.
Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
