Technical Hardware Leader (m/f/d)

• Technical team leader for electronic hardware in Europe and North America for amplifier and infotainment projects for European and North American automotive customers
• Own hands-on electronic hardware development from concept to series production and supervising and guidance of employees including knowledge transfer
• Design, test and measure electronic modules for automotive applications
• Conduct feasibility studies using simulations or prototypes
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturing data
• Commission and verify hardware, document test results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical design, quality, purchasing)
• Coordinate with development teams in Japan (e.g., design reviews)
• Contribute to development standards and process improvement
• Occasional travel for development-related tasks (US, Japan, Taivan, Thailand, Vietnam, Netherlands internally, in addition visiting automotive customers)
• Support our integration process with CarUX organization
• Organize and prepare hardware topics for manufacturing with ramp-up-production in Japan and mass production in Thailand and Vietnam
• Acting as a role model for engineers
• Reporting to hardware management

• Extended automotive experience (customers, processes, quality requirements, suppliers, electronic components)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or similar
• 8+ years of experience in electronic hardware development
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and multilayer PCB layout (incl. EMC considerations)
• Professional experience in designing audio and amplifier technologies
• Experience with development and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer) and embedded system testing and prototyping
• Confident in preparing technical documentation and using automotive development processes
• Fluent in English; German would be an advantage
• International experience
• Experience in professional guidance for engineers
• Structured, hands-on team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness for onsite work in our RD-Center in Wetzlar, hybrid work as far as reasonable
