Staff Product Designer

Role overview

You will define how disparate capabilities come together into coherent, scalable workflows, and lead design initiatives that turn product strategy into durable, reusable systems.

What you will own
You'll own end-to-end UX across major product areas, defining interaction models for complex, multi-step systems so that core building blocks are usable, composable, and scalable — balancing flexibility, correctness, and usability at every layer. You'll define how reusable components and patterns are discovered, configured, and composed, turning repeated solution patterns into scalable UX abstractions rather than one-off fixes. You'll design workflows that make complex system behavior — quality signals, tradeoffs, edge cases, and failure states — clear and actionable, not just visible. You'll conduct and lead user research to build a first-hand, independent understanding of customer needs, working backwards from those needs to de-risk product decisions, and use AI tools to rapidly prototype and validate complex concepts, from low to high fidelity. You'll advocate for user productivity by eliminating systemic friction and ensuring a smooth path from experimentation to production. Throughout, you'll drive UX strategy alongside Product and Engineering, influence product direction through design thinking and user insight, mentor designers, and bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces.

Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product design or UX, with a proven track record designing and shipping AI products
- Proven experience designing complex platforms, developer tools, or enterprise SaaS, including 0→1 and scaling products
- Experience leading strategic planning initiatives and holistic design processes, systems, or design languages across teams or products
- Experience working with executive leaders and influencing stakeholders across organizations to gain support for design strategy
- Strong portfolio showcasing systems thinking, end-to-end ownership, and measurable product impact

Skills & capabilities
- Deep expertise in interaction design, systems thinking, and information architecture, with the ability to design highly complex, multi-layered workflows
- Experience with or deep understanding of generative AI and agentic concepts and how they translate into usable, trustworthy experiences
- Experience with functional prototyping, including AI-assisted or "vibe coded" prototypes, to test ideas before committing engineering resources
- Strong understanding of technical user personas and experience designing for complex, enterprise-scale systems
- Experience building, scaling, and governing design systems, with reusable interaction patterns and UX frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools; hybrid visual and interaction design skills to design end-to-end experiences
- Experience leading user research and embedding insight into product and design decisions
- Familiarity with workflow, developer, or agent-based tools is a plus
