The Senior Manager, Technical Strategy Initiatives is responsible for translating high-level enterprise and digital transformation strategies into robust, scalable technical architectures and executable roadmaps. Operating at the intersection of technical strategy and tactical delivery, this leader drives solution design, oversees the end-to-end technical execution of strategic priority projects, and guides cross-functional development teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and engineering excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Strategic Solution Design & Architecture (30%):Lead end-to-end technical analysis and solution design for high-priority strategic initiatives across the Technical Strategy portfolio.Formulate system architecture blueprints, data models, integration specifications, and technical requirements aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and build-vs.-buy options to support strategic innovation objectives.
• Technical Project Leadership & Delivery Execution (25%):Direct technical execution and delivery milestones for strategic programs, ensuring on-time and within-scope completion.Identify, track, and remediate technical dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and implementation risks across interrelated systems.Partner closely with project and product delivery managers to translate technical milestones into operational sprint plans and release schedules.
• Strategy-to-Execution Alignment & Stakeholder Management (25%):Serve as the primary liaison between senior IT leadership, business sponsors, and engineering teams, translating high-level vision into actionable technical roadmaps.Communicate technical concepts, solution trade-offs, risks, and project status clearly to both technical and executive audiences.Ensure ongoing alignment between enterprise business goals, digital transformation priorities, and day-to-day engineering activities.
• Team Leadership, Architecture Governance & Mentorship (20%):Guide and mentor technical leads and development teams, providing technical direction, architectural guidance, and day-to-day problem-solving support.Conduct architecture design reviews, code evaluations, and technical artifact assessments to uphold engineering rigor.Enforce adherence to software development best practices, CI/CD patterns, coding standards, and security/compliance policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience) required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA preferred.

Experience

• 6+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technical systems design, or solution architecture.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical lead, team lead, or technical project leadership capacity managing cross-functional delivery teams.

Technical & Professional Competencies

• Strong expertise in designing enterprise-grade software solutions, microservices, APIs, and modern cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• In-depth familiarity with modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile/Scrum), automated testing, and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience conducting architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and establishing technical standards.
• Proven ability to bridge strategy and delivery, breaking down complex enterprise goals into phased technical roadmaps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated success influencing cross-functional peers and presenting technical decisions to executive leadership.
• Experience within healthcare technology, digital transformation programs, or enterprise modernization initiatives preferred.
