Software Engineer
We are looking for a C# .NET Software Engineer to build and maintain software used in the intermodal and logistics industry. You will join our Leicester team and work on products used by customers worldwide.
What you will do
Develop new features and maintain existing products.
Turn user stories and acceptance criteria into working software.
Refine and estimate development tasks.
Review code, test your work, and meet the team’s definition of done.
Work with QA and automation testers on functional and non-functional requirements.
Improve code quality, development tools, and team processes.
Investigate incidents, fix root causes, and keep documentation up to date.
Work with other TBA teams where products need to integrate.
Join the out-of-hours support rota after you are established in the role.
Professional software development experience.
Strong C# and .NET Core skills.
Experience with Entity Framework Core and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with Git, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
A practical understanding of Agile delivery, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Good problem-solving, organisation, and attention to detail.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues and customers.
Useful, but not essential
Blazor.
Message brokers such as ActiveMQ.
Domain-driven design.
Experience working in a scaled Agile environment.
