Server Banquet

Overview

The Event Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to event guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

1. Assists with proper event space setup per diagram.2. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner and serves menu selections to tablesusing proper service techniques.3. Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcoholbeverage control policies.

4. Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing diningprocess.5. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refillingwater glasses, and being alert to guest spills or other special needs.6. Maintain a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, including ingredients,preparation methods, and serving recommendations, and use this knowledge to makemenu suggestions and provide exceptional service to guests.7. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per Amaterra and Oregon state health guidelines.8. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by thesupervisor to adhere to health standards.9. Must adhere to all local, state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining toserving alcoholic beverages to minors or intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are beingfollowed.10. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality.11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of training andexperience.2. ServSafe certification and Food Handler certification.3. Alcohol Awareness Certification.
