SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER FOR PHARMA, BIOTECH AND CHEMICAL PLANT ENGINEERING DE/FR-EN

Position:

For its Basel office, ARTELIA Industrie Suisse SA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer / Project Manager with strong expertise in process engineering and project management for the realization of industrial projects, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and process industries.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the office director, you will be involved in projects for new installations or improvements to existing units. In this context, your missions will consist of:

• Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring technical, financial, and planning objectives are achieved.
• Be the local contact for customers.
• Perform process engineering studies, calculations, and design activities.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Evaluate supplier bids from both technical and financial perspectives.
• Supervise technical activities during installation and commissioning phases.
• Act as Lead Engineer with overall technical coordination responsibilities.
• Train and support participating technicians.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
• Report to the office director concerning the development of local activities.

Profile

• Completed technical education as a Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Pharmaceutical Engineer, Biotechnology Engineer, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in process engineering and industrial project execution, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or other process industries.
• Personal qualities: Strong management potential / Industrial culture / Ability to monitor project management with a view to ensuring technical and economic success / Coordination skills / High level of rigor / Able to apply ISO 9001 quality procedures and ensure safety on sites or at customers' premises / Good interpersonal and technical negotiation skills with customers and suppliers / Willingness to work independently on long-term goals.
• Proven project management experience is mandatory.
• Open to business development activities.
• Proficiency in common office tools (Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project).
• Languages: Fluent German essential; French and/or English level B2 required.
• Motivated to take on a versatile and evolving position.
