Senior Data Developer (Analytics)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Developer (Analytics) based in Brazil.

As a Senior Data Developer, you will bridge business needs and technology to build reliable, scalable data products that support analytics and AI initiatives.
You will own the full data product lifecycle, from ingestion and modeling to validation, delivery, and ongoing monitoring.
The role combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of business logic and stakeholder needs.
You will translate complex requirements into robust data solutions and ensure that metrics and KPIs accurately reflect business reality.
Working closely with business, product, engineering, and AI teams, you will help structure data for intelligent applications and reporting.
You will also drive data quality, automation, performance, and continuous improvement across analytical solutions.

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their context, challenges, and underlying needs, translating requirements into clear technical specifications for analytics and AI solutions.
• Own data products end to end, covering ingestion, modeling, transformation, validation, delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Implement rigorous data validation, automated testing, and quality controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Design and develop transformation layers that apply consistent business rules, pre-aggregate information, and produce datasets ready for dashboards and AI applications.
• Collaborate with AI teams to define and prepare structured datasets, data dictionaries, and models that support intelligent platforms and reporting.
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using SQL and Python while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, anticipate stakeholder needs, and propose or challenge solutions when appropriate.
• Deliver reliable data solutions with speed and precision while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, facilitate alignment, present solution proposals, and document modeling and architecture decisions.

Requirements:

• Proven senior-level experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, transformation, and validation.
• Strong experience with data modeling and data warehouse design.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery or another cloud-based data warehouse platform.
• Ability to understand complex business logic and validate data from a business perspective as well as a technical one.
• Strong ownership and proactive mindset, with the ability to identify improvements, challenge requirements when necessary, and act independently.
• Experience specifying and preparing data requirements for AI or machine learning applications.
• Advanced or fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate regularly with international stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver high-impact projects quickly while maintaining quality.
• Experience with dbt for analytical data transformation and pipeline orchestration is a plus.
• Familiarity with data ingestion and orchestration tools such as Airbyte or Airflow is desirable.
• Knowledge of automated testing practices and CI/CD for data pipelines is an advantage.
