Location: Atlanta Metro Area | Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite
A well-established, growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support multiple manufacturing operations. This highly visible position partners closely with finance and operations leadership to improve costing accuracy, strengthen inventory controls, and provide insight into manufacturing performance.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis, along with a proactive approach to improving cost accounting processes in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain standard costs, support inventory accounting, and analyze manufacturing variances.
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare inventory valuations, financial reports, and cost analyses to support business decisions.
Partner with finance and operations teams to improve costing accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
Use ERP reporting and Excel to analyze data, streamline workflows, and improve cost accounting processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
At least 2 years of standard costing experience and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with a large ERP system required; Oracle preferred.
