Scrum Master – Agile & SAFe Methodology

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Scrum Master – Agile & SAFe Methodology based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to enable Agile delivery teams to work collaboratively, predictably, and with a strong focus on business value. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, and coach teams in Agile and SAFe practices. Working closely with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help strengthen team maturity and delivery effectiveness. You will contribute to Programme Increment planning, dependency management, risk identification, and alignment with broader programme objectives. The role also involves monitoring delivery health and using Agile metrics to support transparency and continuous improvement. This is a fully remote, long-term contract role working with distributed technology and delivery teams.

• Facilitate core Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Coach teams on Scrum, Agile principles, and SAFe practices to improve delivery predictability, collaboration, and maturity.

• Support Programme Increment planning by helping teams identify dependencies, risks, and delivery priorities.

• Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy, prioritised backlogs and ensure user stories are clearly defined and ready for delivery.

• Identify, track, and remove impediments that may affect team performance, sprint outcomes, or delivery timelines.

• Monitor and communicate delivery health using metrics such as sprint progress, velocity, capacity, risks, dependencies, and predictability.

• Facilitate actionable retrospectives and drive measurable improvements to team processes and delivery practices.

• Strengthen collaboration between development, QA, product, architecture, and business stakeholders.

• Maintain Agile delivery artefacts in Azure DevOps, including boards, dashboards, reports, queries, and work item tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a comparable Agile delivery role.

• Strong practical experience applying Scrum and Agile delivery practices within software or technology teams.

• Hands-on experience working in a SAFe environment, including Programme Increment planning and cross-team dependency management.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps, including backlog management, sprint boards, dashboards, queries, reporting, and work item tracking.

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative meetings, resolve delivery impediments, manage conflict, and guide teams through organisational or process changes.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.

• Experience working closely with Product Owners and technical teams to improve backlog readiness and sprint execution.

• Scrum Master or Agile certifications such as PSM, CSM, or SAFe Scrum Master are advantageous.

• SAFe certifications such as SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master are a plus.

• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams or Agile Release Trains is desirable.

• Familiarity with Agile metrics including velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, lead time, and predictability.

• Experience contributing to enterprise software delivery, DevOps, cloud, or digital transformation programmes is an advantage.
