Within the Surgery franchise of Johnson & Johnson, we are bringing people together from around the world to create innovative solutions that are bringing surgery to the next level and contribute to life-changing impacts in health care. Our Surgery unit focusses on the treatment of Obesity and Surgical Oncology.

We are searching for the best talent for Sales Consultant - Obesity.

Purpose: The Sales Consultant Obesity is responsible for driving business as a true leader and entrepreneur. He/she identifies the needs and creates the demand from the clinical stakeholders. The Sales Consultant will turn the stakeholders into promotors of our products and company, with a special focus in the product portfolios of Endocutters, Mechanical stapling and Energy devices. He/she will work closely together with the Oncology sales team, Sales Manager and the (Strategic) Account Manager to ensure an optimal resource allocation and the highest impact of his work.

You will be responsible for:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key opinion leaders, surgeons, and operating theatre stakeholders, turning them into advocates for our products and company.
  • Identify customer needs, market potential, and growth opportunities to define effective segmentation and targeting strategies.
  • Develop value-based selling projects and incorporate the Obesity value proposition into account plans to support customer acquisition and business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Project Specialists, and (Strategic) Account Managers to optimize resources and drive sales.
  • Create new opportunities by co-developing customer-focused solutions and added-value projects.
  • Plan and facilitate congresses, user meetings, product presentations, and training for surgeons, specialists, nurses, and operating theatre management.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, including effective communication and management of complaints, problems, and backorders.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Healthcare Compliance regulations while maintaining a strong focus on customer relationships and business results.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical, paramedical, business, or comparable field; a master’s degree or more than three years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proven sales experience with a strong record of achieving business results; experience with endocutters or energy devices is preferred.
  • Must live in the southern Netherlands, preferably central Brabant.
  • Fluent in both Dutch (C2 level) and English.
  • Strong communication, influencing, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to manage complexity, adapt to ambiguity, remain resilient under pressure, and balance strategic and tactical priorities.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and committed to high performance, execution, and making things happen.
  • Knowledge of the current healthcare market landscape and the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with customers, employees, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or >3 years relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Endocutters/Energy devices sales and related processes.
  • Knowledge of the current market healthcare landscape.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€45,100.00 - €72,910.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
