The Safety, Health, & Claims Administrative Assistant is a master multi-tasker with excellent
communication skills and an upbeat attitude. This role will be providing administrative support for the Safety, Health, & Claims Department. To be successful in this position, the Administrative Assistant must have a strong desire to be proactive, self-motivated, and be able to work well both independently and with a team. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

How You Will Contribute
- Provide administrative support for all areas within the Safety, Health & Claims Department.
- Assist in the management of all property damage claims providing exceptional customer service in all interactions.
- Organize, compile, and update safety database(s) and documentation (digital and/or hard copies).
- Assist in tracking, inspecting, and collecting data as it relates to field equipment and assets: 4- Gas air monitors, firefighting equipment, first aid equipment, live-line tools, rubber goods, fall protection, etc.
- Assist with the dissemination of critical information to field personnel as needed and document such interactions
- Organize and facilitate meetings and appointments as needed
- Assist with incident response, investigations and special projects as needed
- Provide general support both internally and externally by answering questions and requests regarding the Safety, Health and Claims Department
- Carry out administrative duties including but not limited to filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
- Maintain a polite and professional manner when communicating via phone, e-mail, and mail
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned and as needed by the department
- Travel/visits to various project field locations as required
What You Bring to the Table
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Intermediate Excel skills required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to learn company software, programs, and processes.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Your Prior Experience
- Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Desired: Associate degree in related field
- Required: Minimum 2 years of verifiable administrative or assistant experience
