Regression Test Engineer

Location: This is a Hybrid role. Whiteley, Hampshire

Clearance Required: This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance

We're looking for a Senior Integration Test Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of a large-scale systems integration programme.

Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll help plan, design, and execute testing activities across a range of applications, interfaces, and infrastructure components. You'll work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality expectations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, analysing data, investigating issues, and working with a variety of technologies and teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Designing and executing integration and regression testing activities.
• Working with technical experts and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
• Recording and reporting test results, defects, risks, and issues.
• Investigating defects and supporting root cause analysis and resolution.
• Analysing test evidence and large datasets to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Validating data flows and interfaces between existing and new systems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve testing processes and ways of working.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of automated regression test packs.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who can demonstrate experience in many of the following areas:

• Software, systems, integration, or test engineering.
• Functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Creating and executing test cases from requirements or design documentation.
• Working on projects involving multiple systems, applications, or third-party integrations.
• Investigating issues and supporting defect resolution.
• Analysing data and interpreting test results.
• Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Managing priorities and working independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
• Ability to attend our Whiteley office as required.

An ISTQB Foundation Certificate (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.

Nice to Have

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but isn't required:

• Test automation and automated regression testing.
• API, interface, or message-based testing.
• Network or infrastructure testing.
• SQL, data analysis, or log analysis tools.
• Agile, DevOps, or Continuous Integration environments.
• Working within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Large-scale systems integration programmes.

£36,900.00-£46,100.00
