Summary:
The Ortho Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour (Based on experience)
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the doctor in Ortho procedures
- Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
- Prophy teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Chart and treatment plan with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Setup and prepares rooms for Ortho treatment
- Take IO's
- Charting
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Certification from a dental college OR 6+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
- Orthodontic assistina experience
- BIlingual in Spanish,a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- California Registered Dental Assistant License or (OA)
- CPR/BLS certification, X-Ray Certification
- Coronal Polish Certification required
- Current BLS certification
