Job description

As QA Inspector at NTS Singapore you are responsible for ensuring the dimensional accuracy and quality of sheet metal, precision machined, and fabricated components throughout the manufacturing process. You perform inspections at various stages, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements, and use precision metrology equipment to verify product conformity. You will also support First Article Inspections and ensure accurate quality documentation in line with customer and company requirements. Working closely with relevant departments, you identify and communicate non-conformities while contributing to a strong quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Furthermore, your duties are:

• Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections on sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components

• Interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and GD&T requirements to determine inspection criteria and appropriate measurement methods

• Operate and program CMM and/or FARO measurement equipment, conduct dimensional verification, and generate inspection reports and comprehensive dimensional layouts

• Conduct First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with customer requirements and verify critical dimensions, geometric tolerances, and feature relationships

• Utilize precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, pin gauges, and surface plates

• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products, initiate NCR/NCMR processes, and communicate findings to relevant departments

• Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation, calibration awareness, 5S standards, and compliance with all quality, safety, and company procedures

Job requirements

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent, with 2–3 years of relevant working experience

• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, mechanical part prints, and manufacturing specifications

• Sound knowledge and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 or equivalent standards

• Experience performing dimensional inspections on sheet metal, precision machined, and fabricated components

• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, pin gauges, and surface plates

• Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or FARO measurement systems for dimensional verification and inspection reporting

• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a quality-driven manufacturing environment
