Program Manager
Amentum is looking for an experienced maintenance related Operations Support Manager that will focus on new client business startups, Site Leadership operational support, and our ARRE (Augmented Reality Remote Expert) technical and support program. This position will focus on coordinating transition activities to meet contractual timelines while engaging various stakeholders during new client business startups. This position will also focus on administering the Amentum Commercial, Government, and Mission Solutions, ARRE (Augmented Reality Remote Expert) technical and support program. In addition this position will help support our site operations team from a Leadership perspective as supplemental leadership support at multiple client locations.
Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Research, review, analyze and interpret all responsive information for contract awards
- Ability to prepare management reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external use
- Responsible for coordinating new business startup activities from a prescribed plan with internal functional group owners and some clients
- Responsible for traveling to client locations to assess contractual process or facility maintenance responsibilities and for physically starting up maintenance services to agreed upon scope
- Responsible to administer ARRE (Augmented Reality Remote Expert) technical and support program, administer technical training on such program, assign, distribute, track, and monitor associated hardware devices, and help develop online training process courses utilizing 3rd party software packages from documents and video
- Manage training and hardware records
- Develop and implement any program advancements and improvements
- Provide administrative and technical leadership in the completion of multiple contracts, including responsibility for cost, schedule and overall performance.
- Plan and procure necessary staffing to achieve work completion milestones and deliverables if needed.
- Monitor fulfillment of contract requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of services/deliverables to various customers.
- Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff and/or contracts.
- Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of engineering and program management activities. Monitor customer feedback and advise on a broad range of issues related to products/services being delivered.
- Participate in business development including identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies and managing proposal development.
- Responsible for travelling to client sites to support Amentum site operations teams from different types of leadership perspectives
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities, schedules and budgets
- Work independently as part of an integrated team and display high self-motivation and integrity.
- Have the ability to maintain an exceptional level of organization and time management skills
- Must have good work ethics and be available on nights and weekends if necessary to accommodate operational needs.
- Drafting and submitting standard reports (weekly, monthly, etc.) and ad-hoc reports (incident reports, etc.) to customer and leadership team
- Proven training experience (developing, leading)
Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or Technical
- Ten Plus (10+) years of experience in a Commercial setting in maintenance or manufacturing or similarly related disciplines
- Facility and Process maintenance core background
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technical program development knowledge, as well as process improvement and work flow improvement skills, knowledge and capability, including knowledge around AI.
- Knowledge of skilled trades and other discipline technical knowledge requirements and associated skill sets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.
- Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required.
- Extensive travel will be required.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance and a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of various computer skills desirable (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Additional knowledge/skills/requirements may be required by contract or assignment
- Facility and/or process maintenance core background
- Knowledgeable of HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Robotics, Controls, etc.
- Knowledgeable of training systems, programs, assessments, both hands on, in classroom, and virtual
- Experience managing maintenance teams and providing maintenance services
- Experience using a variety of office software, including: MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Share Point, and MS outlook
- Must be able to learn new systems and applications
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others
- Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications
- Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company’s goals
- Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
- Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality and safety at all times
Preferred Knowledge and skills:
- Maintenance Manager or Supervisory background
- Technical maintenance skills and experience/background
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects office equipment; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 15 lbs, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.
Work Environment:
- This position requires 70% – 80% travel , working from multiple Amentum office spaces, client site locations to also include remote office locations, government and military locations.
- Travel can be 1 to 2 week intervals, planned, sequenced, or back to back, and can be foreign or domestic. A passport is required.
- Travel and support needs as well as client locations can vary significantly with planning and notifications being limited at times based on customer and operational priorities
- Typical factory, manufacturing, government and military locations both foreign and domestic work spaces apply.
Compensation Details:
$120,000-$140,000
