Program Manager, Google Arts and Culture Lab

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager for the Google Arts and Culture (GAC) Lab, you will manage and deliver complex, high-impact cultural programs for Google Arts and Culture, focusing on the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies for artists, creative technologists, and global cultural partners In this role, you will contribute to establishing GAC Lab as a leading innovation hub at the intersection of advanced technologies and culture empowering artists and partners, engaging users, and broadening access to cultural learning through, thoughtful, and often playful experiments.

• Manage and deliver complex, high-impact cultural programs for GAC, focusing on the innovative application of AI and advanced technologies for artists, creative technologists, and global cultural partners.
• Lead the project lifecycle from concept to launch; define program goals, establish clear timelines, manage deliverables, and proactively mitigate risks or escalate obstacles in a timely manner. Apply Google’s process best practices and internal tools to drive experiment velocity and operational efficiency.
• Foster alignment across stakeholders, coordinating between internal Product and Research Areas, artists, creative technologists, and cultural institutions. Manage cross-team collaborations with localized GAC teams and cultural partners across specified country markets.
• Navigate Google review frameworks including GenAI governance, Responsible AI evaluations, legal compliance, and privacy processes to maintain execution velocity.
• Drive initiatives that highlight AI collaborations and experiments, demonstrating value to the broader cultural ecosystem.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management within arts, culture, creative technology, or cultural innovation.
• Experience leading cultural programs from concept through launch, managing cross-functional stakeholders, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Experience working with artists and cultural institutions on programs involving emerging technologies.
• Experience delivering international programs across multiple countries or markets and managing global external partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing programs at the intersection of AI, advanced technologies, arts, and culture.
• Experience navigating responsible AI, governance, privacy, legal, or intellectual property considerations in cultural or creative contexts.
• Experience scaling and localizing cultural programs across different markets and cultural contexts.
• Proven track record of developing innovative cultural or technology programs with measurable impact and external visibility.
• Ability to travel up to 20% internationally for business.
