Studio M is a family-owned-and-operated company of about 100 people based in St. Louis, Missouri (Fenton area). We design, manufacture, and distribute art-based gift and décor products for the home and garden.

What Production Team Members do:
As a Production Team Member at Studio M, your primary goal will be to help us improve the quality, speed, and flow of production for various products. You'll assist with any and all work required to meet the production team’s goals. Since we’re a small business, you’ll get to learn and gain valuable experience through a wide array of projects and processes that make a manufacturing business run smoothly.
- Build and assemble products, which may require the use of handheld power tools
- Operate an electronic mobile device or desktop computer to print labels or process work orders
- Assist with stocking inventory in the warehouse
- Help keep the production space clean and organized
- Work collaboratively with the team to accomplish each day’s production goals
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, quality, and efficiency
Our ideal Production Team Member:
If you’re the right person for this job, you’ll be comfortable working on your feet all day and are seeking a fast-paced work environment. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working together with a team or independently, and have excellent attention to detail. You're probably pretty coordinated and enjoy working with your hands. You can quickly learn how to use mobile computing devices and web applications. You have a high school diploma and probably have pursued additional education since graduating.
Skills and abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to perform assembly tasks using handheld power tools
- Strong physical acuity, manual dexterity, and ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic math skills (arithmetic)
- Demonstrated dependability
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude
- Strong ability to focus and work efficiently
- Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Continually required to stand or walk
- Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl, and utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to talk, hear, and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard or mobile device
- Frequently required to lift /carry/push items up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts or machinery like forklifts
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise
