Product Marketing

About the role

As our first dedicated product marketer, you'll help developers and enterprise buyers understand what Adapt does, why it matters, and how to adopt it. You'll work directly with the CEO, Product, Engineering, and Sales to turn customer insight into positioning, launches, and useful sales materials.

This role is in person at our Presidio office in San Francisco, five days a week.

What you will do

• Research customers, developers, and competitors to sharpen positioning and target audiences.
• Turn product releases into clear stories, demos, launches, and distribution plans.
• Help open-source users evaluate and adopt Adapt, then bring it into their teams.
• Create permissioned customer stories, competitive guidance, and sales materials.
• Partner on packaging and adoption, and measure how messaging and launches influence usage and sales.

About you

• Experience marketing an open-source product, developer platform, or similarly technical product.
• Exceptional writing and research skills, with an ability to explain complex products accurately.
• A hands-on record of shaping positioning, launching products, and improving adoption or commercial outcomes.
• Technical fluency and comfort working with developers, executive buyers, and a small, fast-moving team.

San Francisco base salary is $150,000-$250,000, based on role-related skills and experience. Total compensation also includes equity and benefits.
