The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Principal Delivery Consultant, Emerging Technologies — Sports, Media and Entertainment. In this role, you will serve as a strategic technical leader recognized broadly, both within AWS and across the industry, for your domain-leading expertise. Your work will be primarily strategic: you will amplify impact by shaping outcomes with senior leaders, influencing technology and business strategies across the vertical, and creating scalable mechanisms that define best practices at scale.
You will own the full engagement lifecycle — from leading discovery sessions and defining target-state architectures through designing, building, and deploying production solutions for Sports, Media, and Entertainment customers. Your day-to-day work will center on building ML training and inference pipelines, implementing RAG architectures and prompt engineering, orchestrating agentic workflows, and configuring media processing workflows. You will partner with AWS Service teams to drive roadmap prioritization and incubate new capabilities across professional leagues, collegiate athletics, streaming platforms, studios, and live event venues.
Drawing on familiarity with broadcast and OTT content delivery workflows, venue IoT and edge computing, and fan engagement platforms, you will guide stakeholders through emerging technologies — including generative AI, agentic AI, computer vision, and modern data platforms. You will identify patterns across customers, develop new architectural principles, and create reusable intellectual property that drives innovation at scale, while managing up to four concurrent engagements.

Key job responsibilities
As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:
Owning the full engagement lifecycle for Sports, Media, and Entertainment customers: leading discovery sessions, defining target-state architectures, building proof-of-concept solutions, designing and implementing production-grade cloud solutions, and ensuring adherence to Well-Architected best practices
Building and deploying AI/ML solutions including ML training and inference pipelines, RAG architectures with prompt engineering, agentic workflow orchestration, and media processing workflows for industry use cases such as fan engagement, venue operations, content workflows, and media production
Designing and implementing data platform solutions using lakehouse and medallion architectures, streaming pipelines, and open table formats to support analytics and AI workloads for sports and media customers
Building reusable architectural artifacts, developing new design patterns by identifying trends across the vertical, and partnering with AWS Service teams on roadmap priorities
Mentoring team members, leading knowledge-sharing initiatives, and contributing to the practice's emerging technology roadmap to grow organizational capabilities
A day in the life
Your morning begins whiteboarding an Agentic AI architecture with an NFL franchise to transform fan engagement. Mid-morning, you review a generative AI proof-of-concept for a studio's content workflow against Well-Architected best practices.
At lunch, you mentor teammates on computer vision for venue operations. Afternoon shifts to presenting a business case to C-level executives at an MLS club, securing a funded engagement.
Late afternoon, you collaborate with AWS Service teams on roadmap priorities, then finalize a reusable reference architecture for the vertical. You close the day reviewing portfolio metrics and drafting strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

The team consists of consultants with deep expertise spanning AI/ML, generative AI, data analytics, IoT, computer vision, robotics, quantum computing, and more.
