Phlebotomy Technician PRN (as needed)

Job Summary Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, obtain nasal and nasopharyngeal specimens, process medical laboratory tests and document results for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Follow all CLIA requirements and regulations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to University and department policies, procedures, and regulation. Obtains patient specimens by venipuncture, finger sticks or nasal/nasopharnyngeal swabs. Assists the laboratory technician/technologist in processing medical laboratory samples. Assists in documenting results in the electronic medical record. Assists in cleaning and maintaining the laboratory including equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
