Marketing & Portfolio Manager
Summary:
The Product Marketing & Portfolio Manager is an experienced marketing professional who drives go-to-market strategy, leads portfolio initiatives, and informs category-level decision-making for Young Living’s global Nutrition portfolio. This role manages complex projects, works with international markets, provides input into strategic planning, and serves as a subject matter expert on Nutrition for product marketing, positioning, and lifecycle management. The role partners closely with leadership, domestic and international markets, and the broader product development team to ensure consistent, effective execution from concept through the product life cycle.
Essential Functions:
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for the Nutrition portfolio across domestic and international markets, managing multiple products with high complexity.
- Own the Nutrition category strategy in partnership with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Portfolio, including positioning, messaging frameworks, and promotional strategy.
- Direct the creative needs of new and existing Nutrition product releases from concept through product life cycle.
- Write and coordinate product support materials — marketing briefs, packaging copy, FAQs, Product Information Pages (PIPs), literature, and promotional announcements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international markets on Nutrition product requests, providing detailed, timely communication and ensuring global consistency in execution.
- Partner with leadership to identify portfolio opportunities and inform the Nutrition category roadmap.
- Collaborate with finance and supply chain to inform forecasts, pricing, and promotion plans for the category.
- Provide insight on performance, competitive activity, and market trends to shape portfolio decisions.
- Develop educational materials and campaigns that drive sales of the Nutrition category.
- Represent product marketing and the Nutrition portfolio in cross-functional and governance meetings.
- Participate and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment (other duties may be assigned).
Skill and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of product marketing and lifecycle strategy, with an emphasis on international markets and network marketing channels.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, independently and simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills; able to produce creative, effective marketing and product support copy.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with analytics platforms and marketing tools, as well as Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
- Strong cross-cultural and cross-market collaboration experience preferred
- Highly creative, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Nutrition related field, and 5–7 years of product marketing or portfolio management experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet this requirement.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5–7 years of product marketing or portfolio management experience.
- Experience mentoring or leading small teams/projects.
- Experience with Nutrition, wellness, or related consumer product categories

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.
Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
