Functional (job responsibilities)

This is an individual contributor role within the Bank's Private Banking Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team. The job functions are as follows:

• Review Private Banking (PB) clients’ account opening AML/KYC profiles for adequacy and compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

• Review documents submitted to identify and verify PB clients, including identifying complex ownership structures and understanding legal arrangements of corporate entities.

• Provide guidance to Relationship Managers (RMs) on SoW journey write-ups and SoW corroboration requirements.

• Liaise with the Compliance Team (as 1.5 Line of Defense) to ensure quality Account Opening, Periodic Review, or Triggering Event Review submissions

• Ensure timely reviews of clients’ AML/KYC profiles for onboarding and periodic reviews.

• Review transactions of PB clients during periodic reviews to identify red flags.

• Review name screening assessments conducted by the Front Office (FO).

• Provide independent assessments on the materiality of true or unverifiable hits identified.

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)

Provide necessary guidance to Junior team members and/or propose process enhancements to improve existing KYC processes.

Job Requirements

Experience

• Relevant degree holder in Banking/Finance/ Accounting or any similar areas
• Minimum 6 years of relevant KYC experience in banking, with at least 2 years in Private Banking

• In-depth working knowledge of MAS Notice 626 and its associated guidelines

• Familiarity with the latest Source of Wealth (SoW) corroboration standards

• Strong writing skills to assist RMs with improving SoW journey write-ups

• Experience reviewing CDD documents to identify complex ownership structures and legal arrangements of corporate entities

• Strong professional communication skills to raise clear, specific queries with Relationship Managers (RMs), Compliance, and other stakeholders

• Deep operational knowledge of KYC processes, specifically Account Opening, Periodic Reviews, and Trigger Event Reviews
• Team player, self-motivated, and diligent in attaining relevant KPIs
