What You Should Know About the Manager- Pharmacy Operations:

• Typical hours are 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Pharmacy Department

Job Summary:

The Manager of Pharmacy Operations overseas inpatient pharmacy operations including management of the outpatient infusion center specializing in oncology. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to inpatients, while also actively participating in hiring, training, and evaluation of the pharmacy staff members. This role requires strong leadership skills, operation expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Manager- Pharmacy Operations Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited pharmacy collage recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
• Current Licensure with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required.

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy automation systems, electronic health record (EHR), and medication management software
• Preferred Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in health system pharmacy preferred.
  • Specific knowledge or experience in oncology pharmacy practices, including chemotherapy preparation, compounding, and specialized medication management protocols relevant to oncology patients.
  • Specific skills in inventory management relevant to oncology medications and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels, minimizing waste, and managing specialty drug procurements.
