Bring your electrical expertise into a highly automated manufacturing environment

If you are an experienced electrical engineer, industrial electrician, field service engineer or multi-skilled maintenance engineer looking for your next move, this could be a great opportunity to take your skills into a modern manufacturing environment where reliability, technology and engineering really matter.

At Baxter Thetford, you will work as part of our Operational Maintenance Engineering team, supporting production equipment that ultimately helps us deliver products to patients around the world.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving problems and working across electrical and mechanical systems — but who is also comfortable using digital systems and working around automated equipment.

What you’ll be doing

You will:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults quickly and safely
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical information
• Support equipment installations, upgrades and engineering projects
• Work with motors, sensors, control panels, circuitry and automated systems
• Use Maximo to record maintenance activity and support equipment reliability
• Identify opportunities to improve preventative maintenance and reduce downtime
• Work within GMP, safety and quality standards

What we’re looking for

You could currently be working as a: Electrical Maintenance Engineer | Industrial Electrician | Multi-Skilled Engineer | Field Service Engineer | Electrical Engineer

We are particularly interested in people with:

• Strong electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience working on industrial, manufacturing or production equipment
• The ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Good understanding of motors, circuitry, sensors and control systems
• Confidence using computer-based engineering or maintenance systems
• Mechanical knowledge and an interest in becoming more multi-skilled
• HNC, apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical/engineering experience
• Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, automation or robotics would be an advantage, but you do not need to be a PLC programmer.

Develop your automation skills
