Lead Sales Specialist - MarTech
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Sales Specialist - MarTech based in Canada.
This is a strategic, customer-facing sales role focused on helping enterprise marketers adopt modern marketing technology and AI-powered solutions.
You will build and manage a pipeline of MarTech opportunities while guiding customers through complex, consultative buying journeys.
The role combines commercial ownership with deep subject-matter expertise across customer data, engagement, lifecycle marketing, and marketing automation.
You will work directly with senior marketing leaders, translating sophisticated technology into clear business outcomes and measurable value.
Close collaboration with Account Executives, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Revenue Operations will be central to your success.
You will also help develop repeatable sales plays, enablement resources, and best practices that strengthen the broader commercial organization.
The position is fully remote, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and time zones throughout Canada and the United States.
Accountabilities

Build and own a pipeline of Marketing Technology opportunities within the ideal customer profile, proactively engaging new customers, buyer personas, and strategic accounts.

Independently source, qualify, and close net-new MarTech opportunities while partnering with Account Executives, Account Managers, and Client Partners on strategic expansion opportunities.

Engage enterprise marketing leaders to understand business objectives, customer journeys, data strategies, acquisition priorities, engagement goals, and growth challenges.

Position marketing technology capabilities within broader marketing and advertising strategies, demonstrating how solutions can deliver measurable business outcomes.

Lead executive-level discovery sessions, solution strategy conversations, product demonstrations, negotiations, and other critical stages of complex sales cycles.

Develop account strategies designed to expand customer adoption across a broad and evolving technology portfolio.

Serve as a trusted adviser and subject-matter expert for enterprise marketers and executive stakeholders.

Develop deep expertise across areas such as email marketing, direct mail, customer data activation, customer journey orchestration, audience strategy, measurement, and AI-powered marketing.

Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, competitive offerings, and evolving customer needs to identify new commercial opportunities.

Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business value and create repeatable messaging, sales plays, and best practices.

Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Enablement, Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership, and Customer Success to improve customer outcomes and commercial effectiveness.

Share customer insights that can inform product development, positioning, commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and new product launches.

Coach Account Executives, Account Managers, and Client Partners on positioning MarTech solutions within broader customer conversations.

Develop enablement materials, customer stories, and repeatable sales resources that scale specialist expertise across the commercial organization.

Track adoption, competitive developments, and market signals while contributing to evolving sales motions and AI-enabled workflows.

Extensive experience selling Marketing Technology, email marketing, direct mail, customer engagement, customer data, lifecycle marketing, or adjacent SaaS solutions.

Proven ability to engage enterprise marketing leaders in consultative, business-focused conversations and establish credibility with senior decision-makers.

Demonstrated success helping customers improve acquisition, engagement, retention, personalization, or marketing performance through technology.

Strong executive discovery, solution-selling, presentation, negotiation, and commercial communication skills.

Ability to translate complex technology and technical concepts into clear, measurable business outcomes.

Experience managing complex, consultative B2B technology sales cycles and working with mid-market or enterprise organizations.

Experience collaborating across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Revenue Operations.

Strong relationship-building, communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder-management skills.

Curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for emerging MarTech, customer data, AI, and marketing technologies.

Experience with customer engagement platforms such as Klaviyo, Braze, Attentive, Iterable, PebblePost, or comparable technologies is preferred.

Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms, customer journey orchestration, first-party data activation, CRM, personalization, or lifecycle marketing is an advantage.

Knowledge of AI-powered marketing, omnichannel customer engagement, and modern marketing technology ecosystems is beneficial.

Ability to develop account strategies, identify whitespace opportunities, and connect technology capabilities to broader customer objectives.

Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams across regions and time zones.

Canada base salary range of $129,600–$178,200 CAD.
