Brown & Brown is seeking an Insurance Support Specialist to join our growing team in Tallahassee, FL.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to build a future in the insurance and financial services industry. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced insurance professionals, helping support the placement of commercial insurance programs while developing valuable skills in client service, data analysis, insurance operations, and carrier relations.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow with a team that values collaboration and career development.
What You'll Do
- Support the placement team with new and renewal insurance business
- Prepare client proposals and presentation materials
- Gather and organize information needed for insurance submissions
- Request and compare insurance quotes from carriers
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of agency management systems
- Help track renewal timelines and follow-up activities
- Work closely with Producers, Account Managers, and insurance carrier partners
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Internship, customer service, administrative, financial services, banking, or insurance experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred
- Interest in pursuing a Florida 2-20 Insurance License within 90 days of hire date
- Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not required
