Game Show Studio - Sales Executive

The opportunity

Game Show Studio is building a new category in location-based entertainment: an immersive, Hollywood style game show experience where friends, families, coworkers, and private groups become the contestants. Each experience is hosted, produced, and tailored to the group, creating the energy of a live television game show in a format designed for repeat visits, celebrations, and corporate events.

The business is expanding quickly across the United States, with Canada on the horizon. Its flexible model can operate as a standalone venue or within an existing entertainment destination – such as Family Entertainment Centers, Escape Rooms, Bowling Centers, Axe Throwing, and other similar concepts. For established operators, Game Show Studio creates a compelling way to activate underused space, attract new customers, extend visits, and add a high margin revenue stream. Franchisees/Licensees receive hands on support across marketing, booking, production, technology, training, and ongoing gameplay content.

We are hiring our first dedicated sales leader for new location growth. This is an opportunity for a proven salesperson to work directly with Jack Slayton, COO to execute the sales process and build the playbook that will power the company’s next stage of growth. Game Show Studio can expand through both franchise agreements and licensing rights. The licensing path can remove steps from the traditional franchise process and materially increase sales velocity when it is the right fit for the operator. The first-year objective is to bring 15 to 20 new locations into the system, then help build the team and infrastructure required to scale further.

What you will own

• Drive new location growth. First year target of 20 new locations across single unit and multi-location opportunities.

• Sell the right growth model. Match qualified operators with the appropriate franchise or licensing structure, using the more streamlined licensing path to accelerate expansion where appropriate.

• Create your own pipeline. Use inbound demand as a foundation while generating most of your production through disciplined outbound prospecting, industry relationships, strategic partnerships, events, referrals, and direct engagement with qualified operators.

• Sell to existing venue operators. Build relationships with family entertainment centers, bowling and amusement concepts, hospitality operators, and other location-based businesses that can add Game Show Studio to an existing footprint.

• Develop multi location opportunities. Identify operators with the capital, footprint, and ambition to expand the concept across multiple venues or markets.

• Build the playbook. Establish qualification standards, messaging, pipeline stages, sales cadences, forecasting discipline, conversion benchmarks, and repeatable processes for both franchise and licensing opportunities.

• Turn market feedback into action. Follow product and market signals to prioritize the buyer segments, territories, and partnership channels showing the greatest potential.

• Partner across the business. Work closely with the COO and teams spanning marketing, sales support, legal, operations, booking, and production to create a disciplined and positive candidate experience.

• Help build the function. Use early success to define future roles, systems, and operating rhythms for a growing new location sales organization.

What success looks like

• You build a pipeline to deliver 20 new locations in year one.

• Approximately 25 to 30 percent of your production comes from inbound opportunities, with the balance created through proactive hunting and relationship development.

• You can advance and close deals independently without requiring the COO to lead every conversation; limiting frequent intervention or oversight by the COO.

• Prospects experience a consultative, well managed process that balances speed with the appropriate diligence for franchise and licensing sales.

• The company finishes year one with a documented, measurable sales playbook that another strong salesperson can adopt.

What we are looking for

• A candidate with connections. A rolodex of contacts in the Location-Based Industry that candidate can leverage for effective and efficient lead generation and

• A record of top performance. Five plus years of progressive sales experience with clear evidence of consistently meeting or exceeding meaningful revenue targets.

• Relevant buyer fluency. At least three years selling into location-based entertainment or closely related operators, with deeper experience strongly preferred.

• Full cycle closing ability. Experience independently prospecting, qualifying, presenting, navigating multiple stakeholders, negotiating, and closing complex opportunities.

• An entrepreneurial operating style. You are energized by ambiguity, move quickly, create structure where it does not yet exist, and take responsibility for outcomes.

• A hunter mentality. You appreciate strong inbound demand but do not rely on it. You know how to identify promising leads, pioneer new industry verticals, create opportunities, and close deals.

• Executive presence and business judgment. You can earn credibility with founders, venue owners, and multi-unit operators by understanding their economics and communicating a persuasive business case.

• High autonomy and accountability. You manage your time, pipeline, forecast, and follow through without micromanagement while keeping leadership informed.

• Builder ambition. You want to prove the sales potential personally, codify what works, and help build a high performing organization around it.

• Travel readiness. You are comfortable traveling up to 25 to 30 percent for prospect meetings, discovery days, industry events, and location visits.
