About the Opportunity

Nodeworthy is supporting a leading Solana-based decentralized exchange in hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer.

This role is designed for a versatile engineer who can build across the full technology stack while working directly with developers and ecosystem partners. You will develop new products, tools and integrations while helping external teams successfully build with the company’s platform.

The position combines hands-on product engineering with developer enablement. You will spend significant time writing and debugging code—not simply producing documentation or responding to support requests.

You should have strong practical experience with Rust, TypeScript and Solana programs, together with the ability to troubleshoot frontend, backend and on-chain systems. You will also guide developers using the company’s SDKs, APIs, command-line tools, cross-program integrations and technical examples.

What You’ll Do

Build and Launch Special Projects

• Own projects across the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept through production deployment.

• Build full-stack prototypes, internal tools and developer-facing applications.

• Develop integrations that expand the capabilities of the platform and its ecosystem partners.

• Move quickly from an identified problem to a functional and reliable solution.

Support Developers and Partners

• Provide hands-on technical assistance to developers and partners through channels such as Telegram and Discord.

• Guide external teams integrating with SDKs, APIs, command-line tools and Solana programs.

• Diagnose TypeScript SDK errors, API issues, indexing problems and other integration challenges.

• Work closely with internal engineers to resolve issues across frontend, backend and on-chain systems.

• Provide clear and timely updates while technical issues are being investigated.

Improve the Developer Experience

• Produce technical documentation, tutorials, sample applications, scripts and product demonstrations.

• Help developers understand how to build reliable and secure integrations.

• Participate in webinars, workshops, hackathons and community events.

• Identify recurring technical questions and turn them into scalable educational resources.

Connect Developers with Engineering

• Gather feedback and identify recurring developer pain points.

• Translate external feedback into actionable product, engineering and documentation improvements.

• Act as the connection between internal program teams and external builders.

• Stay informed about developments across Solana and communicate relevant changes to the developer community.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Capabilities

• Strong proficiency in both Rust and TypeScript.

• Practical experience building and debugging Solana programs.

• Full-stack development capabilities across frontend, backend and on-chain systems.

• Experience working with SDKs, APIs, command-line tools and cross-program integrations.

• Ability to independently build and launch functional prototypes.

• Familiarity with blockchain data, indexers and production API services.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

Builder Profile

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.

• Demonstrated hackathon success or a strong portfolio of independently built projects.

• A GitHub profile or technical portfolio showing products, tools or contributions you have shipped.

• Practical experience building on Solana or another comparable Layer 1 blockchain.

• Genuine interest in building beyond assigned work, whether through side projects, open-source contributions or hackathons.

• Ability to deliver quickly without unnecessarily over-engineering solutions.

Developer-Facing Experience

• Experience working directly with developers, technical partners or open-source communities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to developers with different levels of experience.

• Comfortable troubleshooting issues live and guiding developers through technical solutions.

• Good understanding of the Solana ecosystem, its development tools and DeFi landscape.

Bonus Experience

• Previous experience in Developer Relations, developer advocacy, solutions engineering or technical support within blockchain.

• Experience producing technical content such as tutorials, conference presentations, webinars or videos.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud, blockchain indexing infrastructure and API design.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Blockchain, FinTech or a related discipline.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
