About the role

As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you start by understanding the customer’s business: how people work, what they’re trying to achieve, and where they get stuck. You work alongside them to turn that understanding into AI workflows and agents that make a meaningful difference.

You stay involved from technical presales through implementation and daily use. Customer environments can be complex, from on-premise ERPs to undocumented processes. You enjoy thinking on your feet, testing ideas, and working through business and technical challenges together.

You’ll join our FDE team, working closely with sales, project managers, and product engineering. Success means building something people trust, use, and benefit from.

What you will do

• Understand the customer: Work with end users and decision-makers to understand their processes, exceptions, and priorities. Help identify what’s worth solving and what a useful outcome looks like.

• Technical presales: Help sales shape solutions, assess feasibility, and uncover dependencies. Build focused demos or experiments to explore possibilities with customers.

• Build workflows and agents: Combine prompts, tools, data, and business logic on Lleverage to handle real customer tasks, with human review where needed.

• Solve integration challenges: Connect solutions to customer systems, including on-premise ERPs. Work with customer IT teams to investigate interfaces, troubleshoot issues, and write custom code. Find practical alternatives when the first approach doesn’t work, and support fellow FDEs with integration challenges.

• Improve what you ship: Evaluate solutions against real scenarios, improve reliability and quality, and bring customer insights back to our product and engineering teams.

What you bring

• Customer empathy and curiosity: You listen carefully, question assumptions, and care about how people work. You build trust and translate between business needs and technical possibilities.

• Applied AI experience: You’ve built LLM-powered workflows, agents, or applications and understand prompts, context, tool use, and evaluation. You can judge where AI adds value and where straightforward logic works better.

• Practical engineering skills: You’re comfortable with APIs, authentication, data transformations, and coding in a language such as TypeScript or Python. You can investigate unfamiliar systems and troubleshoot complex integrations.

• Resourcefulness and ownership: You break down unclear problems, test ideas, and adapt as you learn. You take responsibility for delivery, balancing creative solutions with reliability and knowing when to bring in help.

Nice to haves

• Experience in technical presales or a customer-facing engineering role.

• Experience integrating ERP systems, on-premise software, or other complex business systems.

• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms.

• A carry-on ice cream bar. It’s becoming our thing.

We offer

• A salary of €65,000–€85,000 and a share package.
