Forklift Driver

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by ensuring materials are handled accurately, stored properly, and transported safely in compliance with Rhenus policies and OSHA regulations.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Equipment Operation & Material Handling

• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in accordance with certification and training

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using proper handling techniques

• Transport materials between warehouse locations, trailers, docks, and storage areas

• Ensure loads are stable, secure, and within equipment capacity limits

• Verify product quantity, identity, lot numbers, and condition against shipping and receiving documents

• Accurately record inventory movements, transfers, and transactions using WMS, RF scanners, or paperwork

• Assist with put-away, picking, staging, and shipping activities as needed

• Report damaged product, shortages, overages, or discrepancies promptly

• Other tasks as assigned

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety rules

• Immediately report safety incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions

• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris
