Field Marketing Manager - Salesforce Ecosystem Events

Posted Updated
Discussion

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Marketing Manager - Salesforce Ecosystem Events based in the United States.

As a Field Marketing Manager, you’ll own a global event engine spanning 12–15 Salesforce ecosystem sponsorships across four regions, alongside a year-round webinar program.
You’ll take full ownership of the event lifecycle, from sponsorship negotiation and demand generation through on-site execution, follow-up, and pipeline conversion.
Your work will focus on generating new customer opportunities while expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts.
This is a highly autonomous, hands-on role where you’ll operate as the primary owner of the function rather than coordinating behind the scenes.
You’ll partner closely with sales, SDRs, content teams, account executives, and Salesforce ecosystem partners to turn events into measurable commercial outcomes.
Success will be measured through pipeline progression, revenue influence, meeting generation, follow-up speed, and event-level ROI rather than attendance or brand exposure alone.
With approximately 30% travel, including international events, this role is designed for an entrepreneurial field marketer who enjoys operating on the ground and building systems that scale.

Accountabilities

  • Own the global Salesforce ecosystem event calendar, selecting, negotiating, contracting, and executing approximately 12–15 sponsorships annually across four regions while staying within budget and ROI targets.

  • Monitor sponsorship opportunities and prospectus releases, ensuring contracts and sponsorship packages are evaluated and secured within required sales windows.

  • Build and execute approximately six-week pre-event demand-generation campaigns using named-account lists, outbound meeting sequences, targeted advertising, executive dinners, and SDR collaboration.

  • Develop strategies targeting both new-logo prospects and existing customers, working with account executives to turn event participation into expansion opportunities across products, teams, and divisions.

  • Manage end-to-end on-site event execution, including booth operations, staffing, lead capture, contextual scan notes, live product demonstrations, and rapid routing of high-intent leads to sales.

  • Establish and maintain a structured post-event follow-up process, ensuring leads enter nurture within 48 hours and hot opportunities receive timely sales follow-up and clean handoffs.

  • Coordinate approximately eight webinars annually during periods without physical events, partnering with content and other internal teams to maintain a consistent demand-generation cadence.

  • Develop and maintain event-level ROI scorecards covering cost per lead, meeting, Sales Qualified account, and Proof of Concept account.

  • Use performance data to identify underperforming events, adjust investment levels, discontinue low-performing sponsorships, and increase investment in successful programs.

  • Build co-marketing opportunities with Salesforce implementation and consulting partners through joint dinners, webinars, and other ecosystem activities.

  • Maintain accurate campaign tracking and marketing operations, including UTMs, campaign codes, lead routing, CRM hygiene, and reporting.

  • Track event performance against defined pipeline progression stages, including leads, Sales Qualified accounts, and accounts entering Proof of Concept.

  • Maintain strong operational discipline around pre-booked meetings, lead capture, follow-up SLAs, sponsorship deadlines, and event-specific ROI targets.

  • Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience owning at least 8 B2B conference presences end-to-end, including sponsorship sourcing, contract negotiation, booth planning, staffing, pre-event campaigns, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.

    • Proven track record of generating significant event-sourced pipeline, with experience personally contributing $1M+ in event-driven pipeline within a single year.

    • Direct experience being accountable for pipeline progression and/or revenue generated through events, with the ability to clearly connect event activity to commercial outcomes.

    • Experience negotiating event sponsorship contracts, pricing, packages, tiers, and related commercial terms.

    • Hands-on experience with the Salesforce ecosystem, such as Dreamforce, Salesforce World Tours, TDX, AppExchange partner events, or similar ecosystem programs.

    • Strong understanding of event-conversion methodology, including pre-event targeting, meeting booking, on-site engagement, rapid lead routing, and structured post-event follow-up.

    • Experience booking meetings before major events through target-account lists, outbound sequences, and close collaboration with SDR teams.

    • Ability to measure event performance using metrics such as cost per lead, cost per meeting, cost per opportunity, pipeline progression, and event-level ROI.

    • Experience making data-driven investment decisions, including reducing or reallocating event budgets based on performance.

    • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM processes, including Marketo or similar platforms, Salesforce campaign management, UTMs, campaign codes, and lead routing.

    • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to discuss events in terms of opportunities, pipeline, revenue, and closed-won business.

    • Highly autonomous and comfortable operating as a one-person field marketing function without relying on a dedicated events team, agency, or producer.

    • Strong negotiation, project management, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

    • Comfortable working across multiple priorities simultaneously and maintaining rigorous follow-up and execution standards.

    • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, including 2–3 international trips per year.

    • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining morning overlap with an India-based team.

    • Benefits

      • Base salary of $70,000 per year.

      • Quarterly performance bonus with a 15–20% target, tied to pipeline progression, flagship-event meetings, and follow-up performance.

      • Estimated on-target earnings of approximately $80,000–$84,000.

      • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

      • 401(k) plan.

      • Paid time off.

      • Fully remote position for U.S.-based employees.

      • Opportunity to own and build a newly funded field marketing function from the ground up.

      • Potential career progression into a Head of Field Marketing role as the function expands and develops its own team.

      • Approximately 30% travel, including opportunities for international travel across the UK/EU, India, and Southeast Asia.

      • High level of ownership and direct visibility into pipeline, revenue, and business impact.
