Enterprise Governance and Compliance Analyst
The Enterprise Governance & COmpliance Analyst is responsible for supporting governance, compliance, project governance, operational improvement, and organisational communication initiatives within a reinsurance environment.
The role requires a cross-functional professional with reinsurance experience who can translate governance, regulatory, and business requirements into practical processes, monitoring activities, reporting outputs, stakeholder materials, and operational improvements. The Analyst works across governance, underwriting, IT, project teams, and business stakeholders to strengthen operational controls, enhance governance frameworks, improve processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine governance and project delivery capability with a strong operational improvement mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business, governance, project, and regulatory information into clear and actionable outputs for a variety of stakeholder groups.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous reinsurance industry experience
- 5+ years' experience delivering operational improvement initiatives, projects, organisational change programmes, business transformation activities, or governance-related processes within complex business environments
- Demonstrated experience identifying, implementing, and improving operational processes, workflows, controls, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, or business procedures
- Demonstrated experience translating business, governance, regulatory, or operational requirements into practical processes, controls, documentation, reporting mechanisms, or implementation plans
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects, strategic initiatives, organisational change programmes, business transformation activities, or project governance functions involving multiple stakeholders
- 3+ years' experience delivering and coordinating cross-functional initiatives across business, governance, technical, project, or operational stakeholders
- Experience developing stakeholder-facing communications, including copywriting, presentations, visual communications, reporting materials, organisational communications, or business messaging
- Ability to translate complex business, governance, project, or regulatory information into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate communications
- Experience preparing governance documentation, management reporting, stakeholder communications, project materials, or executive-level documentation
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience conducting compliance monitoring, governance reporting, operational control activities, outsourcing governance oversight, or regulatory compliance activities within a reinsurance environment
- Experience partnering with technology teams to implement process improvements, workflow enhancements, reporting solutions, or automation initiatives
- Degree in International Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field
- Professional certifications in risk management, compliance, governance, project management, or reinsurance, or willingness to pursue relevant professional qualifications
