Summary
The Data Platform Support Engineer ensures the smooth operation of enterprise data services by resolving user issues, maintaining system reliability, and supporting platform-wide data operations. This role focuses on operational support rather than pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Tier 2/3 support resource for data service incidents and user issues.
- Diagnose complex data access and data quality problems, collaborating with engineering teams as needed.
- Maintain user documentation, process guides, and knowledge base content.
- Provide training and onboarding support for new users of the data platform.
- Track support metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Monitor platform performance and health dashboards.
- Communicate service disruptions, maintenance windows, and platform changes.
- Contribute to proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
- Support change management, including planned updates and new feature rollouts.
Must Have Qualifications
- 4+ years in data operations, data support, or technical support for data platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with data tools and services.
- Customer‑centric approach with excellent communication skills.
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. $78,600—$160,200 USD
