Data Architect / Senior Business Analyst/Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Architect / Senior Business Analyst/Architect based in India.

This role serves as a key bridge between functional Supply Chain teams and technical development teams.
You will define logical and semantic data architectures that translate complex aerospace supply chain processes into scalable analytics solutions.
The position combines strong functional expertise in supply chain operations with hands-on knowledge of enterprise data and analytics technologies.
You will work across SAP HANA, S/4HANA, MS SQL, Teradata, Tableau, and other data sources to support reliable business intelligence.
The role involves requirements engineering, data modeling, gap analysis, technical validation, and continuous improvement of semantic layers.
You will help ensure that analytical outputs accurately reflect business processes, data lineage, and functional requirements.

• Analyze and map complex aerospace supply chain processes and transactional part lifecycles to enterprise analytics architectures.
• Lead the transition of reporting requirements toward HANA and S/4HANA architectures, leveraging modern data structures to support diverse analytics needs.
• Evaluate how technology and architectural changes affect existing business processes and recommend adjustments to improve data accuracy and usability.
• Translate functional business requirements into detailed technical specifications for SAP HANA data models and other database technologies, including MS SQL and Teradata.
• Conduct gap analyses between current-state processes and future-state system logic, identifying discrepancies in data granularity, lineage, and business rules.
• Identify opportunities to harmonize and enhance semantic layers across business units and source systems.
• Design logical architectures for Tableau dashboards, ensuring semantic layers align with business logic and underlying SAP HANA and source data.
• Perform SQL-based technical validation of data models and development outputs to confirm alignment with functional requirements.
• Collaborate with SAP process experts and technical developers to resolve data integrity issues across common Supply Chain processes.
• Support data and analytics solutions related to Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and other critical supply chain workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a techno-functional role combining business analysis and SAP data architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP HANA or S/4HANA implementations, particularly within Logistics and Supply Chain modules.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA data architecture and the differences between ECC and HANA/S/4HANA data models.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and verification of business logic.
• Experience designing reporting solutions and data models for enterprise analytics platforms such as Tableau, SAP HANA, MS SQL, and Teradata.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain operations and the ability to translate functional processes into data and analytics requirements.
• Knowledge of aerospace transactional part processes, including traceability, configuration management, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with the SCOR model and its application within enterprise resource planning and supply chain environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and develop practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively bridge functional and technical teams.
