Clipper Café Cook (FT or PT Seasonal)
Job Summary
Prepare and cook food in a quick serve restaurant outlet, our Clipper Café, skier dining room, with a varied menu. Duties of the cooks are limited to preparation of a few basic items and normally involve operating large-volume single-purpose cooking equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Operate, clean, and maintain large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and griddles.
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity, time and temperature.
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for menu.
Take and prepare food orders from guests at service counter and maintain par levels.
Serve orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables.
Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
Maintain high standard of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served.
Follow menu specifications to ensure quality and consistency when preparing each product.
Perform routine daily cleaning, maintaining a clean work area throughout shift.
Perform table bussing and dishwashing functions as required.
Clean and organize china, silverware, glassware, kitchen wares.
Prioritize and organize tasks for speed and quality assurance.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Competencies:
ServSafe certification preferred – possible to obtain during employment.
Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Able to read labels and directions.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Physical & Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
Non-smoking candidates preferred.
