The Esplanade Hotel Queenscliff is a true local icon, right in the heart of Queenscliff and proudly serving the community since 1879. With a busy bistro, revamped beer garden, functions and a menu spanning pub favourites through to fresh, seasonal dishes, there’s plenty happening in the kitchen.
We’re looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our team and play an important role in delivering great food across our busy kitchen.
The Opportunity
As a Chef de Partie, you’ll work alongside an experienced kitchen team producing a diverse menu that includes fresh seafood, steaks, burgers, pub classics, share plates and seasonal dishes.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Work across a busy, high-volume kitchen
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes across multiple sections
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
Work with fresh, seasonal produce
Support the senior chefs with service and kitchen operations
Contribute to a positive and supportive kitchen culture
Develop your skills across different sections of the kitchen
What We’re Looking For
We’re after a Chef de Partie who:
Has previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen
Is confident working across different sections
Has a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
Can maintain quality and consistency during busy services
Works well as part of a team
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Is keen to learn, develop and progress their career
