Business Development Representative

About the role

As an early Business Development Representative, you'll find companies with a real reason to use Adapt and earn the first conversation. You'll combine research, thoughtful outreach, and AI tools to create opportunities that Account Executives accept and advance, not just meetings.

This role is in person at our Presidio office in San Francisco, five days a week.

What you will do

• Research target accounts, their teams, systems, and likely use cases.
• Use product and market signals to prioritize relevant outreach.
• Start conversations through personalized email, LinkedIn, communities, and events.
• Qualify the problem, account fit, initial champion, and next step before handing off to an AE.
• Test messages and AI-assisted workflows, keep the CRM current, and share what works.

About you

• 1+ years in business development, sales development, recruiting, customer-facing work, or another high-accountability professional role.
• Clear, concise writing and an ability to earn attention through relevant outreach.
• Curiosity about AI and technical products, with a willingness to improve your workflows using new tools.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and resilience.

San Francisco base salary is $70,000, OTE is $100,000-$130,000 at 100% quota attainment, excluding equity and benefits.
