Assistant Resident Engineer - Wet Utilities

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer – Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the construction of wet utility infrastructure works, including potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and associated networks.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and other technical documents.
• Monitor site progress, quality, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Contractor, Authorities, stakeholders, and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Monitor inspection, testing, and commissioning of wet utility networks and ensure the required approvals are obtained.
• Review construction activities and technical issues related to stormwater drainage systems and associated infrastructure.
• Identify potential construction risks, technical issues, and delays and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces between wet utilities and other infrastructure works, including roads, structures, electrical, telecom, and other services.
• Maintain proper records of site activities, inspections, progress, technical issues, and correspondence.
• Support the Resident Engineer in the day-to-day management and supervision of site activities.
• Participate in site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings with the Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are properly implemented on site.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10+ Years relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works.
• Good knowledge of wet utility systems, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Experience in construction supervision, inspection, quality control, and coordination with contractors.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team and manage multiple site activities
