API Tech Lead Developer

We are seeking an experienced API Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable APIs and cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python, AWS, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and serverless architecture, along with a solid understanding of API security and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable REST and SOAP APIs using Python.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
• Build serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Design and implement microservices architectures and distributed applications.
• Develop secure, reliable, and high-performing APIs following enterprise development standards.
• Implement API authentication, authorization, encryption, and other best API security practices.
• Integrate APIs with internal and external applications, services, and data sources.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application testing and deployments.
• Use Git for source control, branching, code reviews, and collaborative development.
• Troubleshoot API, integration, and production issues and support ongoing application improvements.
• Work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in API development or software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and SOAP APIs.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Experience developing microservices and serverless applications.
• Understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Proficiency with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing serverless architectures in AWS.
• Experience with API management, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs and microservices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
