We are currently representing a leading global Financial Services firm in the appointment of high-calibre professionals as part of a period of strategic growth and investment.
Our client operates at the intersection of corporate, fiduciary and regulatory services, partnering with private equity houses, investment managers and international financial institutions. Backed by long-term institutional investment and an established global brand, the firm is scaling its capabilities, technology and international footprint.
Our client is seeking an Accountant to join our rapidly expanding accounting team. This role is based in Krakow but reporting to a Dublin based accounting team.
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records to support the production of trial balances.
- Perform journal postings, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and balance sheet reconciling items.
- Support statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and financial information is accurate and complete.
- Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Contribute to process improvements and the ongoing development of accounting procedures.
- Ideally 2+ years' experience within an accounting or bookkeeping role and proven experience preparing accounts up to trial balance.
- A good understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Experience posting journals and working with general ledger systems.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and SUMIFS.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
