As part of our growing North America Sales team, you will join as an Account Executive and help establish Akur8's sales motion in the region. This is a builder role for someone who can create structure, open new opportunities, and shape how we sell in a growing market.
Your key objective will be to build a repeatable sales motion: identify high-potential prospects, create and test a sales playbook, lead opportunities from first contact through contract signature, and help the team learn what works.
Working independently and in close partnership with the North American team, you will use your experience in SaaS sales, consulting, or another technical commercial environment to open doors, learn the product deeply, and guide prospects through complex buying decisions.
This will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
As an Account Executive, you will own your territory, pipeline, and quota while helping define the process used to develop the market.
Building the sales motion from the ground up, qualification criteria, outreach sequences, and opportunity management.
Identifying and creating new opportunities in the US, testing approaches across relevant customer segments and lines of business.
Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and post-close relationship management, with a focus on disciplined and efficient execution.
Researching prospects and developing relationships with economic buyers, technical stakeholders, and C-level executives.
Working with internal teams to prepare proposals, communicate customer needs, and negotiate contracts.
Learning and explaining Akur8's technical product, adapting the conversation to business and technical audiences.
Sharing market feedback and helping improve our positioning, messaging, and sales process based on customer conversations.
This role is ideally based in our New York City office, though we are also open to remote candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones of the United States. Frequent travel will be required for business development events and client meetings.
We're looking for a self-starting, commercially minded individual with around 6+ years of experience across SaaS sales, consulting, or both. You should be comfortable in an early-stage environment, enjoy creating new processes, and be motivated by the opportunity to shape a sales function rather than inherit a finished playbook.
EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
You have 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, technical sales, consulting, or a related commercial role. Experience as an Account Executive, a consultant moving into sales, or an early commercial team member is relevant.
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
HARD SKILLS
You have a proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close complex B2B opportunities, ideally in a SaaS or technical sales environment.
You are comfortable creating sales processes, testing messaging, and building a repeatable playbook from the ground up. You take clear, proactive action without waiting for detailed direction.
You enjoy researching accounts, opening new doors, and working with technical teams. You are comfortable creating a path forward when the process is still being built.
Experience managing complex accounts, including account mapping and multi-threading across key stakeholders.
Ability to develop and execute account strategies throughout long, complex sales cycles.
You are comfortable using CRM systems and working across teams in a fast-moving company. Experience with early-stage sales processes is valuable.
You are curious about technology and willing to spend time learning a complex product in depth.
SOFT SKILLS
You build trust with customers and can develop strong relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
You are autonomous, organized, and able to prioritize the next best action without close supervision.
You are a persistent hunter, a self-starter, and willing to learn from both successes and setbacks.
You are comfortable spending time with customers and colleagues through client meetings, business events, and internal gatherings.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
