General Overview: Provides maintenance support to all departments and ensures that all machinery and equipment are in safe working order within the facility: 3-5 years of industrial experience, demonstrate strong mechanical trouble shooting capability, demonstrate knowledge of 1-phase and 3-phase electrical trouble shooting, can use a meter to troubleshoot AC and DC voltage systems. The candidate must demonstrate a good working knowledge of plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other skills necessary to perform the job. Must be able to perform this tier level with minimal supervision.

• Must have hand tools, approved multimeter, and toolbox.

• Performs daily checks to identify and address potential mechanical issues.

• Helps other Maintenance Techs as directed by Group Leader or Maintenance Manager.
• Performs established PM (Preventive Maintenance) procedures on machinery and equipment as directed.
• Help establish maintenance and PM procedures to better maintain mechanical and electrical systems.
• Performance maintenance and troubleshoots equipment as needed following proper LOTO procedures.
• Repairs and rebuilds hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.

• Installs and connects electrical fixtures, molds, and equipment, ensuring proper plumbing and wiring for safe and efficient operation.
• Evaluates equipment to determine necessary repairs or part replacements and collaborates with Group Leader or Maintenance Manager to ensure timely procurement of replacement parts.

• Utilizes maintenance management system to track daily activities, close workorders, track time, etc.
• Ensure proper care is taken for all maintenance equipment.
• Can proficiently perform machine PM to increase machine reliability.

• Meticulously documents preventative maintenance activities in maintenance management system (Adheres to established safety protocols and best practices, including service dates, replacement information, and keeping accurate records.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies on how best to maintain machinery & keep it working at optimal levels during peak season periods.
• Notifies the supervisor of any faulty equipment or mechanical condition and enters it into the CMMS system.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the maintenance shop and follows 5S system.
• Always wears proper PPE and always works safe in all areas.
• Must be willing to train level 1 maintenance techs to next level.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager or the Group Lead.

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:

• Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical expertise in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Effectively assesses and prioritizes equipment issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize downtime.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, professionalism, and effective time management to meet organizational goals.
• Adheres to established safety protocols and best practices.

Education/Experience:

• Requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a technical degree in a mechanical discipline combined with 3 plus years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Focus on Electrical Technology a plus.
• LOTO and Arc Flash training a plus.
• Previous Forklift and Fall Protection training required.
