2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle or equipment systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, breaking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency
• Electrical system repairs
• Ensure all equipment meets DOT and other regulatory standards
• Confer with management teams to provide specialized solutions and equipment to meet customer requirement
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
• All other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Associated degree or equivalent in related field preferred but not required
• 1-2 years+ of automotive or diesel experience preferred
• Working knowledge in use of hand and power tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attentive and timely in responses
• Good follow up and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Collaborate and cooperate internally and externally with a positive attitude
• Certification preferred but not required but will be required for job advancement
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
